NM - Near Mint - Nearly perfect. Looks like it was just bought; only tiny, nearly invisible flaws.

VF - Very Fine - Excellent condition but with minor wear, like a small crease or slight spine stress.

FN - Fine - Above average. Shows some wear (light creases, slightly duller ink) but still clean.

VG - Very Good - Average "read" condition. Noticeable wear, larger creases, or minor spine roll.

GD - Good - A well-used copy. All pages are there, but it has significant scuffs, stains, or small tears.

FR - Fair - Heavily worn. May have large tears, heavy stains, or a detached (but present) cover.

PR - Poor - The lowest grade. May be missing pages, heavily defaced, or have severe water damage.
